Friends of The Bowl

Thousands of athletes have developed their skills, talent, and most importantly, character, at the multi-purpose Gordie Howe Sports Complex over the past 75 years. They were drawn to Saskatoon’s largest sports park, in the Holiday Park neighbourhood, to play football, soccer, softball, baseball, speed skating, golf and hockey.

Friends of the Bowl began planning to upgrade the Gordie Howe Sports Complex in 2013. Celebrations of success occurred with the official opening of Saskatoon Minor Football, September 6, 2014 and the clubhouse, April 28, 2016. Another is planned for completion of the plaza in the summer of 2016.

Gordie Howe Bowl was the initial focus, with plans to upgrade other facilities within the Gordie Howe Sports Complex at a later date. That time has come. The Legacy Campaign will complete the upgrades to Saskatoon Minor Football Field and begin the upgrades to the Gordie Howe Softball Diamond and the Clarence Downey Speed Skating Oval. More details will be announced soon. Join the team in fostering sport in Saskatoon.
